Alternative Press: May 2008 #238

The cover story of this issue is Panic! At the Disco,

Unfortuanaly this group isn't dedicate to them,

This AP includes a special dedicated to some of Mexico's most recognizable bands, venues, and albums.

The 3 page spread includes a strip mentioning El Chopo ("populated with crusty punks panhandling for spare change, goth kids with melting make-up selling candy and buskers playing out of tune acoustic guitars"-Maria Lorenzo), Essential "MexiPunk" albums (Prueba Esto Vol.1, Nuevos Tiempos Viejos Amigos Vol.1, ext.)

It also includes articles mentioning well known Mexican acts like Alison, Division Minuscula, Thermo and Finde, among other. But, most importantly, it includes an article with the one and only PANDA.

In the article Jose "Pepe" Madero (singer), promotes the bands latest CD/DVD: Sinfonia Soledad, [released November 30, 2007(includes 16 live tracks and 2 never-before-released songs)], he also calls out the haters who say Panda has sold out saying "because more and more people listen to our music, we're frequently accoused of selling out." and "If reaching out to the largest amoutn of people is selling out, then yeah, i guess we sould out!"

The "No Borders No Fences" Special is much aprecciated by all "MexiPunk" listeners, and I hope everyone goes out and buys this issue to not only read about this beloved band, but to also discover new music and read up on old Panic! At the Disco's plans for their new album
